WEC 39 Brown vs Garcia Fight Card

Venue: American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas
Broadcast: Versus

Main Card Bouts

WEC Featherweight Championship bout:

Flag of the United States Mike Brown vs. Flag of the United States Leonard Garcia

This will be Mike Brown's first title defense since his TKO win over Urijah Faber. He will have a tough match up in Leonard Garcia, who has looked impressive in the two fights in the WEC. Mike has lost only four fights in his MMA career, all by submission. It makes for an interesting match up. Even though Leonard has won his two fights in the WEC by TKO, most of his victory's are by way of submission. I think who ever is losing the stand up, will go for a take down, and then we will end up with the classic wrestler vs submission match up. I see either Mike Brown winning a close decision, or Leonard Garcia winning by submission.

WEC Lightweight bout:

Flag of Poland Bart Palaszewski vs. Flag of the United States Richard Crunkilton

It's not often that you see a 25 year old MMA fighter with a 30-11 record. Bart Palaszewski must love to fight, and too fight often. Richard Cruckilton would normally be the more seasoned fighter with a 16-2 record, not this time. Both of these guys have had problems when the fighting the better MMA fighters in their weight class. I think Bart might have a little to much stand up for Richard and TKO him in round 2.

WEC Lightweight bout:

Flag of the United States Rob McCullough vs. Flag of the United States Marcus Hicks

Both of these MMA fighter are looking to get back into the win column and title contention. Rob is the former WEC Lightweight Champion, and lost his last fight to Donald Cerrone. This will be Marcus Hicks first fight since he lost to Jamie Varner for the WEC Lightweight Championship. Look for Rob to get back to his winning ways and win by TKO in round three.

WEC Welterweight bout:

Flag of the United States Johny Hendricks vs. Flag of Russia Alex Serdyukov

This will be a good test for Johny Hendricks. Johny is an up and comer, and Alex has been stopped by all the talented fighters he has faced. If Johny is ready for the next step, he should win.
