Brandon Vera vs Keith Jardine
One of the match ups at UFC 89 Bisping vs Leben will be Brandon "The Truth" Vera vs Keith "The Dean of Mean" Jardine. This is a pivotal fight for both fighters. Keith Jardine has sandwiched his surprising win over Chuck Liddell with two KO losses. Brandon Vera looked very average in his first fight at 205 pounds after losing two fights in a row at heavyweight.
Houston Alexander and Wanderlei Silva both came out guns blazing against Keith and got the first round KO's. Chuck Liddell is a counter puncher and never really figured out how to attack Keith and ended up losing a split decision. If the Brandon Vera that destroyed Frank Mir or Justin Eilers shows up for this fight, it could be over quickly.
Brandon Vera looked amazing at heavyweight in his first couple of fights in the UFC. Once he started to fight the bigger guys in the division, he found himself getting out sized by them and lost two straight fights. We were all expecting Brandon to be a monster at light heavyweight, but it looked like the weight cut really effected him in his first fight.
Either way this should be a good MMA fight to watch. If Brandon shows up ready, it will be a quick KO finish, but if Brandon still has issues with the weight cut, we will get to watch Keith pick him apart and eventually TKO him.
